Komet's FSD9F/ 8859 is a tapered point, fine grit (red) composite finisher diamond.

This diamond bur shape is also available in the following grits:

The FSD9F can be used for:

Facial surface trimming, like polishing around the gum line
Removing cement when placing crowns

After using the FSD9F, finish with the matching carbide finisher FS9 / H135.

If using Komet's FSD9F /8859 for composite finishing, we recommend using the following for your entire procedure:

For primary preparation, use a coarse grit (black) diamond bur like the 5858 for cutting hard materials such as composite and procelain.
You may also use our H246 or 8274 for pre-polishing.
Finish the preparation with a pointed, extra-fine grit (yellow) facial surface trimming diamond, like the fine-grit (yellow) FSD4EF.
